Due to the continuing threat of of genetically modified tampering (Enviropig) we deem it necessary for our own health and that of our family and customers to try and keep ahead of the scientific tampering with our food. We strive to keep things more natural.
Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed originating from Berkshire England. They are hearty and good natured and love the out of doors. They are more capable of dealing with the elements as they grow more "hair" than commercial pigs.

All of our animals live a good life of care and love, They have indoors and outdoors access as the weather dictates and always are fed the naturally grown NON GMO feed we raise ourselves on our farm. They are also antibiotic and hormone free.
WE DO NOT feed grocery store cast off produce that could be laden with pesticides/ herbicides/ fungicides and we DO NOT fill them up on preservative laden bakery leftovers.
Berkshire pork is prized for its juiciness, flavour and tenderness.
As the Farm Meat Shoppe is now CLOSED we no longer offer meat by the piece. We can direct you to view Harvest Hastings website for a list of area farmers that may have what your looking for and we can recommend ( google ) Stratton Farm, Stirling for a good source for pork.
